National Running Day

Posted on June 5, 2013. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Happy National Running Day!  I remember celebrating last year by signing up for the Philly Half Marathon in November!  And convincing Stephanie to signup to run her first half!

I don’t have the same grand plans this year, I’m thinking I’ll do a short run outside this evening.  I haven’t been running much lately, I am frightfully out of running shape since doing the Nike Women’s Half just over a month ago.   I am so out of shape that the trail half marathon (that I signed up for back in February) this weekend, will be a big DNS for me.   It’s a bummer too because I got the race email yesterday and it sounds like such a fun race!  Justin is also not running it due to a strained achilles.   We are quite a pair right now.

In any event, enjoy the day whether you are running or not.  I am enjoying these last few days in D.C. sans humidity while running (a mile or two)!
