Chips & Salsa for dinner

Man, this week is off to quite the start. Getting home from work past 9pm two nights in a row? Not the best start to the week if you ask me. I made stops at Whole Foods both nights. Last night to grab some food for the week – KIND bars, eggs, avocado, chicken broth, carrots and 4 frozen Amy’s Light n’ Lean meals. Tonight it was for salsa because I realized it was the ingredient I was missing for Monica’s chicken tortilla soup. Well, when I got home I bagged making soup and just ate chips and salsa for dinner. Yes, I was too tired and lazy to make SOUP. Sometimes it just happens.

So, let’s take a look at last week’s SIDI and even though it’s already Tuesday, what the plan is for this week:

Monday – 5 miles – success
Tuesday – strength training + abs
Wednesday – 3 mile run
Thursday – strength training + abs
Friday – Spin
Saturday – 7 miles
Sunday – Rest

I only had success on Monday because I had to help out a friend on Tuesday and Wednesday and then my killer cold kicked in on Thursday. And the cold was a rough one. I am almost 100% healthy but am not there just yet. OJ, Ginger Ale, water, Mucinex, cold medicine, my Netti-Pot, tissues and lot of rest have helped me through this cold. Oh and lots of my great-grandma’s lemon soup recipe 🙂

Monday – Rest
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – 4 mile run
Thursday – strength training + abs
Friday – Yoga
Saturday – Barre Yoga + something else
Sunday – GW Classic 10k + 2 miles (for 8 miles total, long run)

Yoga twice in one week? Who is writing this post?! Today I bought a week pass to Epic Yoga for $20. Boom! Anne recently went there. I’m looking forward to trying their sunrise yoga (which is hot) and their barre yoga. I’m excited to check out the new, beautiful studio.  They offer complimentary mats, lockers, towels and showers. Man, I love boutique fitness studios!

I just signed up for four yoga classes. Who am I? Good thing my running buddy Katie will be along for some of the yoga ride this week. Savior!
