I may not have won a gold medal in London, but I am now a proud gold card carrying member at Starbucks! I have completely gone overboard with chai drinks this week – including 2 iced and 1 warm – I’m not fully in fall mode, so eeking out the last of the iced chais before it gets too cold.

Speaking of gold medal winners, I joined twitter not necessarily to tweet, but to follow a lot of my gold medal faves.  The other day Matt Grevers showed up as a follower of mine (1 of 4 followers) and then three days later he was no longer there.  Sad for me, good for him?  I can’t be too sad since I’ve never tweeted once in my life.  Goal for the end of the year – tweet and retweet.

This weekend, Eric Shanteau (another gold medalist) is hosting his annual Swim for Your Life in Lake Lanier Islands in Georgia.  I strongly considered participating and even looked at flights to Atlanta and google mapped how far away Atlanta and Lake Lanier are, but alas, I will not be participating this year.  Most of my favorite swimmers will be there including Rebecca Soni & Aaron Peirsol – so dreamy!    Maybe next year.
