Highs and Lows
This weekend was filled with rolling highs and lows:
High: I successfully made this Pioneer Woman recipe for a friend’s birthday.
Low: My carry on suitcase I’ve owned since 2004 broke in half. Luckily I scored a new one at TJ Maxx before my work trip next week (phew!).
High: My friend and I made this delicious recipe from Gina for lunch on Saturday. It’s going to have to be a summer staple forever now.
Low: I didn’t run outside this weekend. Oops. But I did end up running almost 5 miles on Friday night during my interval workout on the treadmill. That counts as run if you ask me 😉
High: I ate salads on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They weren’t conventional salads but I’m still counting them. On Friday night I made the last of the buffalo chicken lettuce wraps but instead of wraps, I made a big salad with the lettuce, chicken, cheese and carrots. On Saturday, I”m counting that tasty crab salad I mentioned above and on Sunday I made a random lentil salad by just throwing things together that were in my fridge. Success, if you ask me!
Low: My email has been spammed ALL weekend by people trying to subscribe or unsubscribe from the Drive By Truckers mailing list. Clearly they are having a problem and it seems like they’ve fixed it now but nothing like hundreds of extra emails in your inbox to start your morning every day.
High: I went to Bar Method on Saturday and this morning. It totally kicked my butt and I’m loving it. So good to be back! Tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck.
Ok, so maybe more highs than lows 🙂
With a week long work trip looming ahead and a busy week this week, I want to be sure to fit in some good workouts and I’m looking at the mornings to fit them in. I’m also compiling some great no-equipment workouts for while I’m on the road next week hoping to squeeze them in here and there. Here’s my SIDI for the week:
