Running Games

I think last night while I was sleeping my mind and body decided that they would work together on my morning run.  I said out loud (wrote on the blog) last night that I’d like to just try to keep a steady 9:05-9:15 pace per mile just one time and I managed to do that this morning – save for the last mile when I think I just wanted to be done!

Tomorrow I will do 3 miles and then I’ll be done running until Saturday.  My plan is to rest the two days prior to the race and eat lots of pasta!

With the 1/2 marathon in sight now, I’ve been looking at the training schedule for the triathlon.  I think I’ll take a few days off after the 1/2, but then I’m hoping to get right back into the training.  I’ve really been enjoying the running and will probably miss doing it as much but I also worry the transition to regular biking is going to be tough for me!

On a completely separate note, this is currently floating around our office today:

Stephanie and I have our tickets for the midnight showing, such nerds!!  It’ll also be a perfect way to celebrate Stephanie’s birthday/birthday weekend!

Justin currently breezed through the first book and I can’t wait to get it back from him so that I can finish re-reading.   He returns tomorrow, so I will welcome him home and take my book back…immediately!
